One of our fundraisers this year will be another Night at the Races. It is already scheduled for Friday, November 5th 2010 at the same place as last year, Stow Youth Baseball Party Center. So mark your calendars and plan on having loads of fun! Lion Dave Pelligra has sent a flyer which is in the e-mail following this newletter, and included with the snail mails. Feel free to make copies for your friends.
We also have a date for this year’s Rockin on the River beer pour. It will be August 6th 2010. The main band that evening will be Almost Queen. We will need around 35 volunteers, so mark your calendars and round up your friends and pray we don’t get rained out.
REVERSE RAFFLE:
This years Reverse Raffle was a complete success! And I would like all of you to know that I am very thankful to all the 36 Lions who participated in selling the tickets and joining in the festivities that evening. We have 43 members of this club. Seven of you did not participate this year. If you had sold 1 ticket and purchased 1 ticket, Lion Jerry Jones would not have to had to sell 29 tickets by himself. This is our MAJOR FUND- RAISER OF THE YEAR! Do you support LIONISM or not? Next year consider your membership!
FLOWER SALE:
Your Cuyahoga Falls Lions Club sold hanging baskets of flowers over the Mothers’ Day weekend. Considering the weather that weekend, we did a fantastic job! Thank you to everyone who helped that weekend. Out of 300 hanging baskets that were delivered to us on Friday, we sold 288 of them! Again -Thank You to Lions Harry Himelright, Rick Sabo, Syd & John Baker, Barney Barnhart, and ALL those Lions and spouses who helped make that weekend a great success. We plan to do the same thing next year, and had lots of customers who said they would look for us!!
